2. Information we collect
When you submit a Prayer Request, we collect:
- your name;
- your phone number and email address, if you choose to provide them;
- the content of your prayer request; and
- your confirmation that you consent to this use of your information.
Please do not include information you do not want our pastoral team to read. A prayer request may include sensitive personal information, such as information about health, family circumstances or religious beliefs.
3. Why we use your information
We use the information you provide solely to receive, consider and respond to your Prayer Request, and to provide pastoral support where appropriate.
We rely on your consent. Where a request includes sensitive personal information, we rely on your explicit consent given by ticking the consent box before submitting the form. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
4. Where your information is stored and who can access it
Prayer Requests are stored in a database on the server that operates this website. Access is limited to authorised church administrators and pastoral team members who need the information to provide pastoral support.
We do not sell your information or use it for marketing. We will not share it outside Agape Family Kingdom unless required by law or necessary to protect someone from serious harm.
5. How long we keep it
We keep Prayer Requests for up to 90 days from the date they are submitted. After that period, they are permanently deleted from our website database unless we must retain them for a legal reason.
6. Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information. You may also withdraw your consent at any time. To make a request, contact us using the email address above.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we use your information.
7. Cookies
Cookies and information submitted through the Prayer Request form are different things. This notice explains the personal information collected through the form. Our Cookie Notice explains any cookies or similar technologies used on this website.
8. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
